Thursday 25th January 2024 - Reminder of early finish at 12:45 and remote learning for Year 7, 8 and 9
As advised in the end of term letter, a reminder that next Thursday 25th January is the Year 11 Parents Event from 1:30-5:30, as a result school will close following Period 3 at 12:45 to all students. A Grab & Go' lunch is available if required form the dining room, students should leave the school site by 1pm. If you have transport booked such as taxi's for your child, please re-arrange accordingly.
Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 students will then commence remote learning at home from 1:30-3:15 and will be set tasks for English, Mathematics and Science. These tasks will be set online, anyone who is not able to access remote learning will be allocated a space in school to access and complete the set work.
Year 10 students will be out on work experience during this week.
Year 11 Parents Event - Staff will be available for subject engagement meetings with the parents of our year 11 students from 1:30pm. Appointments will open this evening at 6pm. Please visit https://nlc.parentseveningsystem.co.uk to register and book your appointments. The event ends at 5:30pm. We are keen for our year 11 students to come in with you to the event and discuss their learning with each subject teacher. As an incentive, we are offering all students who attend 5 Prom Points, which count towards the “Success For All” tutoring block on their “Passport to Prom.” You will get details of your child’s current “Passport to Prom” progress at the event.
